1. Jones Road Face Pencils: The packaging is the epitome of minimal and these face pencils really perform. I was using a liquid makeup before switching to these. The liquid always had a cast - it looked like I was wearing makeup, but these just look like skin. It takes seconds to scribble these face pencils on your face where you might want some coverage, then blend with a finger. They melt into your skin and don’t leave any sort of cakey residue. I use a shade that matches my skin to hide sun damage and dark under eye circles and a dark shade for some bronzing. $25

2. Zerra & Co. Eyeliner: Completely zero waste and top performing! There’s a little bamboo brush and a glass bottle that contains the eyeliner. Paint your lash line and voila, it lasts all day without smudging! I love the Ivy Green color for brown eyes. $13.99

3. River Organics’ Vegan Lip Balm: If I want just a little something on my face to feel put together I use this one item and nothing else. I use the nude color on my lips, cheeks, and eyelids and instantly have a gorgeous glow. It’s packaged in compostable cardboard too! I like using their lip balm for cheek color more than their blush sticks because I like the added glow (that lasts all day, btw). But if you like a more matte look, go for their blush sticks. The lip balms are $12.99

4. RMS Beauty’s Straight Up Volumizing Peptide Mascara: If you want a clean version of high performing mascara, this is for you. It doesn’t smudge, it lasts all day, is highly pigmented, and gives you those long bushy lashes! Packaged in metal and plastic that has some recycled content, it can be mailed to PACT to be recycled at end of life. Starting at $13

5. Zerra & Co. Mascara: If you want a fresh look - like your lashes but better, you’ll love this mascara. One coat defines and lengthens your lashes, two coats gives volume and length, and three coats rivals the performance of RMS’s mascara. I’ve worn Zerra & Co.’s mascara and eyeliner on a 2 hour hike in Florida heat and never had a smudge under my eyes. Mail the packaging back to Zerra & Co. to be sanitized and reused. It also feels luxurious using mascara from a glass bottle. $19.99

6. evanhealy’s Glow Balm: Lit from within is how I feel when I wear this pigmented luminizer. Put it anywhere the light would normally hit your face for a lovely glow. The ingredients are clean and skin loving. I’d expect nothing less from this brand that focuses on mainly skincare. The Elysium shade is my favorite. Beware, this item sells out often. Packaged in glass and plastic. $19.95

7. Zerra & Co. Lipgloss: Yes, you can tell I love Zerra & Co. products by now. This is their 3rd item on my list. Their customer service is superb, the ingredients are the cleanest, and the fact that they sanitize and refill their packaging is the absolute best! Oh, and it’s a small business run by women. Their Lipgloss in Cappuccino is everything you’d look for in a gloss. The color is perfectly pigmented with a sheen that isn’t too flashy or too matte, it’s not sticky in the least, and it lasts! $19.99
